Located inside a Po river deep oxbow, the small village of Torricella is provided with a river port since ancient times, particularly developed around the seventeenth century, thanks to the trade with Venice, supplied by transport on boats built in the Gramignazzo close brickworks.
From 1995 the Torricella port is now seat of the Nautical Association.
The port can host 250 boats from 3 to 8 metres and it is provided with:
– an electric capstan equipped slipway
– a quay crane for up to 1 ton and ½ boats moving
– a quay gasoline and gas oil filling station
– a pontoon for up to 50 metres long boats docking and a machine shop
– boats assistance
– a parking
– a telephone
Close to the port is possible to visit an outdoor swimming pool, a 40.000 square metres park, the Parco Boschi Maria Luigia, and Lo Storione restaurant, with a large terrace facing on the river.
