The Parking Plan of the Municipality of Parma regulates the transit and parking of vehicles in the historic center and in the surrounding areas with the aim of maintaining an accessible and comfortable city. In these areas parking is paid or reserved for permit holders (for example residents, traders, people with disabilities).

The historic center area is subject to access restrictions and parking is regulated by blue lines; these delimit the paid parking areas and are active during the daytime on working days. Payment for parking can be made at the appropriate parking meters or by purchasing parking tickets (which can be purchased at the Infomobility desks in Viale Mentana, 29/A) or via dedicated apps such as Tap&Park or Easy Park. Rates vary depending on the area and length of stay.

The blue and white lines during the evening time slot (from 7.30/8.30 pm depending on the area until 7.30 am) and at night are reserved only for residents and other entitled persons. The yellow lines are reserved for disabled people with permission and the blue and yellow lines for loading and unloading operations. In general, maximum attention is recommended to the vertical signs of the different areas.

In the city there are 10 covered paid car parks in the immediate vicinity of the historic centre. Near the car parks there are address panels that indicate in real time the number of available parking spaces. All car parks are located in the immediate vicinity of the Parma Bike Sharing stations.
Covered paid car parks – Central Parking Repubblica, Fratti Duc, Dus, Stazione, Goito, Toschi, Ghiaia, Kennedy, Abbeveratoia and Fleming.

At the gates of Parma there are 10 free parking lots where you can leave your car parked 24 hours a day and use the shuttle service to and from the historic centre. Some of these car parks have an active Bike Sharing station, so it is easy to reach the center by bicycle. Parking in the car parks is free and the cost of the shuttle is €4.10 per person. The day ticket is valid on the day of validation and until the end of the night service on the same day. Otherwise, a single bus ticket lasting 80 minutes can be used.
