Everybody knows that some castles of the Duchy of Parma and Piacenza are haunted by ghosts of people who lived behind their walls, victims of murders or tragic love stories still wandering in the corridors and towers.
Leave from Parma direction south and reach the Fortress of Bardi, haunted by the ghost of knight Moroello who hopelessly loved lady Soleste at the end of 15th century.
Going back to Parma, cross the hills and turn East to stop at the
Castle of Montechiarugolo, where beloved fairy Bema, a fortune teller, still appears today to brides the day before the wedding.
Back to Parma, take the via Emilia direction Piacenza, and follow signs to the castles of the Bassa Parmense, especially the Rocca of Soragna, where Donna Cenerina, wife of marquis Diofebo Meli Lupi II murdered in 1573, still haunts the rooms appearing to people who are going to die.
