The church of Mozzano is recorded in the 1230 AD parchment as Chapel of St. Martin de Mozano, annexed to the parish of Sasso.
In the present building, a few fragments of sandstone on the walls remain of the ancient building, dating back to the 12th century.
The 12th century sculptures in the interior depict two human heads wearing a cap in use at the end of the 11th century while Romanesque decorative features support bows and decorate the capitals.
A Greek cross is inserted in a clypeus and three semicircular bows are drawn in a single block of stone outlined by simple mouldings.
