Basilique of Santa Maria della Steccata

the order of knights founded at the time of Emperor Costantino still owns the most beautiful Renaissance church of Parma, the Sanctuary of Steccata, hosting a treasure of art and history gathered along the centuries.

The museum of the Ordine Costantiniano certainly stands out among the museums of the town thanks to the richness and peculiarity of items on display: a collection of paintings, textiles and precious vestments dating to the 17th century, 17th and 18th century silverware, archive documents of the Farnese times, heraldry, uniforms and memorabialia of the Bourbon family included the shirt worn by Louis 16th when he was beheaded.
