service on Saturday and festivities at 8.30am and at 10am. Visits on other days by prebooking.
The main features of the old parish church of Gaione are the Romanesque pillars of the naves and the vaults dating back to 16th and 17th centuries, while the presbytery was built during restoration works after second world war.
Even thought during the centuries the church was transformed several times, it was originally built in the 11th century, on the spot of an ancient place of worship, as the former roman altar witnesses.
