Even though it could have been built before, we have records of this church since 1230.
The present building dates back to the 17th century, while changes were made in the interior and a Romanesque facade was added in 1826. A noteworthy version of the Paradise by Lanfranco, painted by Giuseppe Martini, is placed in the choir and a silver laminated shrine is kept in the sacresty.
