Pilotta Palace - Piazza Della Pace - 43121 - Parma (PR)
The history of the Court of Guazzatoio is mixed with the one of the Pilotta Palace, which was build between the XVI and XVII century.
More or less with the same size of the main court, the Guazzatoio was at the beginning emploied for a military use until the second half of the XX century.
The area was later turned into a museum as an increasement of the National Gallery. From the beginning of 70’s there was a big restauration of the whole building used by the Monuments and Fine Arts Office which comprehends also the Farnese Theatre.
