The ghost of Torrechiara

the legend refers to the love story between noble Pier Maria Rossi and beautiful Bianca Pellegrini.
The ghost of the count is said to come back once in a while in the Rio delle Favole, the road leading to the entrance of the castle, pattering his lover’s motto: nunc et semper.
The latter can be seen also in the Golden room of the castle, built between 1448 and 1462, frescoed on the ribbon binding the interweaved hearts bearing Bianca and Pier Maria initials.
