After starting his career in the local radio of Parma, Mauro Coruzzi became famous on air thanks to the programme La rustica.
A collaboration with rap singer la Pina for Radioduerai (1996-1997) brought him a sudden success as the cheeky and sarcastic love expert of Pezze al cuore.
It is actually his role as a very special correspondent from the Music Festival of Sanremo in 1997 that makes him a celebrity all over Italy.

In 1997 his new persona, the glamourous transvestite Platinette, becomes the host of Caffè, Tè, Me? – The Absolutely Glamorous Platinette’s Breakfast Show on air every morning and in January 1999 he starts waking up the audience of Radio Deejay with his new programme Platinews.
More success come also from tv shows: Target (Canale 5), Maurizio Costanzo’s nightime talk-show, soon becoming a very popular opinion leader.

In 2003 Platinette decides to tread the theatre stage performing in the sold out comedy by Matteo D. Bianchi Bigodini.

In 2009 he was guest of honor at Donida Award, dedicated to Maestro Carlo Donida and he was in the cast of the program on Canale 5 Domenica cinque, led by Barbara D’Urso. In 2010 he was in the cast of the second edition of the reality show La pupa e il secchione.
In autumn 2011, the talk radio Platinissima arrived in television, going on the air simultaneously on Radio Deejay and Deejay TV, with the title Platinissima presenta Good Evening.
